Season and care
In season: All year (garden roses are at their best from late spring to summer).
Care: Recut the stems at an angle, strip leaves below the water, and change the water every two days. If a head droops, recut the stem under water.
Design with roses on Bloom
Flower meanings are traditional and vary between cultures. Pet safety follows Bloom’s own list, based on the ASPCA’s: if a pet eats any part of a plant, call your vet straight away.
